Masjid al-Haram

The Sacred Mosque around the Kaaba, the Qibla of all Muslims. Tawaf, Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and Zamzam are all inside it.

History and Seerah

The first house of worship established for humanity, built by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail (peace be upon them) by divine command. It contains the Holy Kaaba, the Station of Ibrahim (Maqam Ibrahim), the Black Stone (al-Hajar al-Aswad), and the well of Zamzam which miraculously gushed for Hajar and infant Ismail. A single prayer here is multiplied by 100,000 in reward.

Visitor tips

Use the gate number on the sign to remember where you entered. Upper floors are calmer at peak times.
