Yemeni Corner (ar-Rukn al-Yamani)

The Kaaba's southern corner, the last one you pass before the Black Stone on each circuit.

History and Seerah

Ibn Umar said he never saw the Prophet ﷺ touch any part of the House except the two Yemeni corners: this one and the Black Stone's corner (Bukhari 1609).

Visitor tips

Touch it with your right hand if you can, without kissing it. If you can't reach it, keep walking: there is no pointing or takbir here. Between this corner and the Black Stone the Prophet ﷺ said: Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah, wa fil-akhirati hasanah, wa qina adhaban-nar (Quran 2:201; Abu Dawud 1892, Hasan).
