The Seven Mosques (al-Khandaq)

History and Seerah

A cluster of small mosques on the western side of Mount Sala', at the site of the Battle of the Trench (Khandaq, 5 AH). Later generations named them after the Prophet ﷺ and Companions such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali and Salman al-Farsi. No authentic report ties each mosque to a Companion, and praying in them has no special reward.
