Site of the Battle of Uhud (3 AH). The Prophet ﷺ said: "Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it." (Bukhari 4083)

History and Seerah

The monumental red granite mountain towering over Madinah's northern horizon. In 3 AH (625 CE), the momentous Battle of Uhud was fought at its base. The Prophet ﷺ dearly loved this mountain, stating: 'Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it' (Sahih al-Bukhari 2889).
