Masjid Bani Haram & Cave of the Trench

A historic mosque on the slope of Mount Sala', in the area of the Battle of the Trench (Khandaq) and the house of Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA).

History and Seerah

In the area of the Battle of the Trench (5 AH). Later tradition says the Prophet ﷺ spent nights in prayer in a cave above this site. In this neighbourhood stood the house of Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA), where a small meal of barley bread and a young goat fed all the people digging the trench (Bukhari 4101).
